AN ACT REVIVING THE OBSERVANCE OF ARBOR DAY BY AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CELEBRATING THE DAY FOR TREE PLANTING AS AN ANNUAL EVENT

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-SEVEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN, KNOWN AS THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE CODE.

Resolution expressing the sense of the Senate that the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and all local government units stop the indiscriminate cutting down of trees and directing the Committees on Environment and Natural resources, Local Government and Justice and Human Rights to conduct an inquiry, in aid of legislation, of this indiscriminate cutting down of trees, including the alleged abuses of MMDA in the implementation of its sidewalk clearing operations to ensure that the same is done in accordance with law and to avert its recurrence
